Privacy policy
Effective October 21, 2026. Explains in plain language what data Menos Pista uses, why, where it is kept and how you control it. Menos Pista is operated from Brazil, so this policy follows Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018). This is a translation of the Portuguese version, which prevails in case of conflict.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Grupo Jadson, responsible for the Menos Pista app. For any privacy matter, including contacting the data protection officer (DPO), write to grupojadson@gmail.com.
2. Quick summary
- The app reads only the offers in the ride and delivery apps you turn on, to show whether a ride is worth it. This reading happens on your phone.
- Offer screenshots, pickup and drop-off addresses read from offers, daily closings, fixed bills, maintenance, private-ride quotes and security camera recordings stay only on the device. Voice alerts are generated on the phone (Android text-to-speech).
- You need to sign in with your Google account to use the app. Your profile, offer history and Finances are stored in your account on Firebase (Google).
- News and offers by email and notification only if you tick that option, and you can untick it at any time.
- The app never receives your card details. Donations are paid on Mercado Pago (Mercado Livre).
- You can delete your account at any time.
3. Accessibility service (prominent disclosure)
Menos Pista uses the Android Accessibility service to read the text of offers that appear on the screen of the ride and delivery apps you choose in Settings (for example Uber, inDrive, Rappi, Lalamove, Loggi, Cabify, Keeta or another app you turn on). With this text it calculates earnings per distance, per hour and estimated profit, and shows the "worth it?" card.
- Screen content is processed on the phone itself. Screen text is not sent to servers; only the result of each analyzed offer goes to your history (item 5).
- The app ignores the keyboard, the home screen, system settings and apps that are not ride or delivery apps. It does not collect passwords, messages, contacts or banking data.
- When an offer does not expose text, the app may take a screenshot through Accessibility (Android 11+) and read the text with local recognition (ML Kit, on the device). The screenshot stays on the phone.
- The app does not accept or decline rides for you and does not tap the screen of other apps.
- Before asking for the permission, the app shows a notice with this information and the buttons "I agree and want to turn it on" and "Not now". You can turn Accessibility off at any time in Android Settings.
4. Account and sign-in
Sign-in is required and done with your Google account, through Firebase Authentication. We receive from Google your name, email, profile photo and an account identifier. We do not receive your password.
5. What is stored in the cloud (Cloud Firestore)
- Profile: name, email, photo, sign-up date, last sign-in and last use, app version, ride apps you turn on, plan (free or Pro) and your choice about news (with date).
- Devices: notification (push) token and phone model.
- Analyzed offers: date, app, amount, distances, times, earnings per km and per hour, estimated profit and cost, passenger rating shown in the offer, traffic-light result and the vehicle used in the calculation. The screenshot and addresses are not sent.
- Finances: income and expenses you enter (amount, category, description, note and date).
- Donations: status, amount, date, frequency (monthly or yearly) and the Mercado Pago payment identifier (item 9).
- Support: tickets you open and the messages exchanged (item 10).
Data is kept on Google (Firebase) servers, which may be outside Brazil, with the safeguards required by the LGPD for international transfers. Each user can only access their own data; administrative access is restricted to the controller.
Retention: data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is erased (see Delete account), except payment records the law requires us to keep. The history on the phone can be deleted automatically after the number of days you choose in Settings.
6. News and offers (marketing opt-in)
At sign-up there is a separate, unticked box to receive news and offers by email and notification. We only send them if you tick it. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app (Settings) or by email, without affecting your use of the app.
7. Notifications (push)
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging for service notices (for example "reading stopped", support replies, donation confirmation) and, if you agreed, news. You can turn notifications off in Android settings.
8. Ads (Google AdMob)
The free mode is funded by Google AdMob ads. Google may use the device advertising ID, IP address, device data and ad interactions to show and measure ads. We ask for your consent through Google's tool (UMP) where applicable, and you can review that choice in the app. You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings. Ads do not show while an offer is on screen. See the Google Privacy Policy.
With active support (Pro plan, monthly or yearly), the app shows fewer ads: it removes some ads, not all.
9. Donations (Mercado Livre / Mercado Pago)
Donations (monthly or yearly) are paid only on the website, through Mercado Pago, Mercado Livre's payment platform, currently in Brazilian reais (BRL). Payment data (card, Pix, payer tax ID) is given directly to Mercado Pago and handled by it, under the Mercado Pago privacy policy. The app does not receive or store your card details. We keep only your account identifier (uid), the plan, amount, status, dates and the Mercado Pago payment identifier (record payments/{id}), plus the plan, status and expiry of the support in your profile, to unlock Pro benefits and for accounting.
10. Support
When you open a ticket in the app or write to support, we keep the subject, the messages, your email and technical data about the device and the app (model, Android version, app version and reading status) to solve the problem. Tickets are kept while the account exists.
11. Security camera
If you turn on the security camera (when the feature is available in your version), it only starts when you tap Start, records with a persistent notice in the notification and saves videos only on your phone, in its own folder, deleting the oldest clips when the reserved space runs out. Recordings are not sent to us or to the internet; they only leave the phone if you tap Share. You are responsible for telling passengers about the recording.
12. Crash reports
We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports (device model, Android and app version and where the error happened), to fix bugs.
13. Legal bases
- Performance of a contract (LGPD art. 7, V): account, offer reading and calculation, history, Finances, cloud copy, donations and support.
- Consent (art. 7, I): news and offers (marketing) and personalized ads, where required.
- Legitimate interest (art. 7, IX): security, fraud prevention, crash reports and app improvement.
- Legal obligation (art. 7, II): keeping payment and access records for the legal period.
14. Who we share with
- Google / Firebase (sign-in, database, notifications and crash reports).
- Google AdMob (ads).
- Mercado Pago / Mercado Livre (donation payments).
- Authorities, when required by law or court order.
We do not sell your data.
15. Your rights
You can ask for confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization or deletion, portability, information about sharing and withdrawal of consent (LGPD art. 18). In the app you can already export your data (CSV and backup), untick news and delete your account. For anything else, write to the email in item 1; we reply within 15 days. You can also file a complaint with Brazil's data protection authority (ANPD) or the authority in your country.
16. Account deletion
See how to delete with or without the app in Delete account.
17. Children and teenagers
Menos Pista is made for adult drivers and couriers and is not intended for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, it will be deleted.
18. Changes
We may update this policy. Important changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the effective date at the top will be updated.
